Pixies Add More U.S. Tour Dates

Well, there's one band isn't canceling tour dates this year.

The Pixies are selling out shows and in return adding more dates to their extended 20th Anniversary Doolittle Tour.

A second show in Nashville on September 11 at the Ryman, a second Austin show confirmed for September 21, as well as dates in Charlotte, NC (September 9) and Asheville, NC (September 12). Also added are shows in Mexico and South America.

Each show features massive multimedia productions. Myles Mangino (long-time Pixies lighting designer) and Paul Normandale designed the visuals on the set. In addition, filmmakers have created 11 films which will be projected onto a huge backdrop. The show opens with the 1929 surrealist short film - "Un Chien Andalou," directed by Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí.

And as mentioned previously, each show will be recorded live and sold on CD right after at the merch table and at doolittlelive.com.
